My Fictions : Observer = MDCCXC Part 1

Orangesmile.com, Devonshire, England

I hate morning so much, not that I dont feel grateful how I am still breathing and waking up healthily, I just hate how I have to wake up early, take a shower–It is not cold at least, then prepare my lunch. However, I can only do this few times a week, maybe 3 or 4 times.

I am an observer. To fill in the storylines within the game data, I am still filling in more gossips for Driviewing, a high-selling cloud-based game that takes no storage at all. Thanks to our huge donors for providing the massive, almost unlimited physical storage. During those times of work from office around 3 times a week, I need to present and test the games in real-time, my favorite timeline to set up in Driviewing is in the 1790s, the Gregorian era to be specifically–I have embedded a story of Castria Lepolle, an equestrian woman with her dog and cat living in South West England specifically in Devonshire. She rents a stone cottage which she intends to buy soon from the owner. Tartiwett–the name she likes to recall in case someone asks where she lives.
The owner is an elder who has no children, but very rich and humble. Has good intention on giving estates to “peasants”.
Castria hated gardening, so she hired Mr. Tendicole to attend to the gardens behind Tartiwett. Tartiwett has high walls and strong stones; the main entrance leads to another room extending to kitchen and living room, Castria’s bedroom would be in the back approaching the backyard.
This is the part where I would quit giving new names as I personally hate memorizing new terms and names, I’d tend to
forget about it quickly.

The same God-damned alarm again, the same alarm chiming that helps me to get up, get my money and live, live this livable life through the hobbies that I can only do for like 3 hours a day, while I work around 9 hours a day, sometimes even more. We are all trapped in this but I am very grateful for the work. However, the salary is big enough for me to take a quick flight to Devonshire, observing more of Castria’s belongings and personal histories.
“Don’t worry, I fixed the car and the brake.” He seemed to notice my fear through the note that I always attach along with every order. The driver peers through the front window with a bit of bird shit on it “I’m sorry for the inconvenience, I was still sleeping and not aware of this” he looked back at me through the rear window. I nodded, smile and said it’s okay. Windows going down as I push the button, the air breezes making my nose cold in an instant, I can see the cows around mooing but in a very far-etched echo. Splashes of mud going right at my face, very minor but I can feel it, it’s horrible, now I gotta take my wet wipes.

This whole observing, research and trip thing is relaxing. I have done 5 characters this far, going to the hometowns, seeking their histories and heirlooms. I even met one where the manor was haunted as fuck, thankfully, never met ones with psychopathical backstories or elements. So, you might be wondering, what even is my job, I am part of a game developer company, but I create codex, histories and all kinds of writing, but we have our own editors, who are acting more like my assistants, that’s why I was named more as observer. I prefer the term “researcher” but they say it’s too formal and less cool. I just don’t get it, I’m pretty sure they have other reasons for that.
Back to Castria, I have done an online research on her but it was not enough. I need more evidence, authentic ones so players can be bedazzled or creeped out by how accurate and intense her lives have been, especially the things that we will put in the game for the players to figure out themselves. You see, the thing about our games is that, some quests are hidden, they are not even marked as quest only until you reach the last codex and object then you get a reward. The biggest reward that we have given out to our players are holiday-trip to one of our characters’ castle, it was a great collaboration of the travel agency, us, and the caretaker of the castle.

This Castria trip will last only 5 days, after that, I want to meet my husband at home and I’d have to teach at the private university as I am an adjunct lecturer for writing and libraries for sometimes few times a month. It was a good money, but I don’t seek out money anymore, I just do it for fun and for the sake of my image, the intellectual researcher, how I have come this far at life, throwing this shade of successful to all people even to those who are higher than me.

You see, I didn’t mention any new terms or names, right? repetitive is no fun, you just have to think of the other ways to conceal it with other words that are frequently used but not sounding like repetitive, which we can call as synonyms, haha.

Book Review : Fear Street - Ski Weekend : a totally perfect planned or "plotted" holiday?

A bit refreshing to read knowing it's basically about somebody's weekend is about to get ruined, their planned holiday, like literally all planned out so well that they didn't even expect everything. However, I may have to inform that in my book review, I do discuss about the aspect of few storyline, therefore there will be a lot of spoiler, I even explain the whole plot.  Title : Fear Street : Ski Weekend Author : R.L Stine Year : 1991 Collation : 180 pages Serial killer lurking around the ski lodge, shutting down their lights, turning off their electricity, forcing its way inside then murdering them all one by one. Nope, it's not one of those serial killer during holiday story, it's different, with lots of creativity and unexpected complication, the climax is right nearing the end of the book, so we have to be patient. I was almost satisfied with how well it turns out, what makes this different from other fear streets is that this isn't even taking place in Sh...

Interpreting The Head from Cursed Bunny by Bora Chung

I’ll be ending this post by applying the formulation of 4Ps (purpose, preview, prior-knowledge and predict) to complete the pre-reading steps. I haven’t finished the whole book but I wrapped up the first chapter quick. I was really interested by the very first page, and I think it’s very important for an author to grab the attention of reader within the first few paragraphs. I was reading it on my bed with my sleeping husband by my side, while I inhale in and out my taro-tasted vape to replace a coffee while I read. Because I am a FOMO, I love to see booktok, a trend emerging from tiktok for fellow book readers, and thanks to booktok—I found this book. The first page was very intriguing for me, I loved how it helps to make the story even more intense without having to go all the way hundreds of pages to get to the climax. Exactly the first page was the climax then it slows down a bit but very slowly.  At the end of this chapter titled “The Head”, I tried to explore my prior knowled...
